Chapter 45
युधिष्ठिर उदाच तस्मात् त्वमेव राधेयं भीमसेन: सुयोधनम् । वृषसेनं च नकुल: सहदेवो5पि सौबलम्
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca tasmāt tvam eva rādheyaṃ bhīmasenaḥ suyodhanam | vṛṣasenaṃ ca nakulaḥ sahadevo 'pi saubalam ||
யுதிஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—“ஆகவே நீயே ராதேயன் (கர்ணன்) எதிரே நிற்க; பீமசேனன் சுயோதனனுடன் போரிடுக. நகுலன் வ்ருஷசேனனை எதிர்கொள்ளட்டும்; சகதேவனும் சௌபாலன் (சகுனி) மீது செல்லட்டும்.”
संजय उवाच
Even amid violence, leadership is measured by disciplined allocation of responsibility: Yudhiṣṭhira frames combat as duty (kṣatriya-dharma) and seeks proportional, orderly engagement rather than reckless fighting.
Yudhiṣṭhira directs matchups among key warriors: one fighter is told to confront Karṇa (Rādheya), Bhīma is assigned to Duryodhana (Suyodhana), Nakula to Vṛṣasena, and Sahadeva to Śakuni (Saubala), indicating tactical planning within the battle.
