कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
देवा ऊचु अस्मत्तेजोबलं यावत् तावदद्विगुणमाहवे । तेषामिति हि मन्यामो दृष्टतेजोबला हि ते
devā ūcuḥ asmat-tejo-balaṁ yāvat tāvad adviguṇam āhave | teṣām iti hi manyāmo dṛṣṭa-tejo-balā hi te ||
தேவர்கள் கூறினர்—அரசே! போரில் எங்களிடம் உள்ள தேஜஸும் பலமும் எவ்வளவோ, தைத்யர்களிடம் அது இரட்டிப்பு என்று நாங்கள் கருதுகிறோம்; ஏனெனில் அவர்களின் தேஜோபலத்தை நாங்கள் நேரில் கண்டோம்.
