कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
द्यां युगं युगचर्माणि संवर्तकबलाहकान् । कालपृष्ठोडथ नहुष: कर्कोटकधनंजयौ
dyāṃ yugaṃ yugacarmāṇi saṃvartakabalāhakān | kālapṛṣṭho ’tha nahuṣaḥ karkoṭakadhanaṃjayau ||
வானமே யுகமாகியது; யுகங்களின் தோல்கள் யுகச்சர்மங்களாயின; பிரளயகால மேகங்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டு உபகரணமாயின. காலப்ருஷ்டன், நஹுஷன், கர்கோடகன், தனஞ்சயன் முதலிய நாகர்களும் பிறரும் குதிரைகளின் மயிர்க் கொத்துகளைப் பிணைக்கும் கயிறுகளாயினர்; திசைகளும் விதிசைகளும் ரதக் குதிரைகளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக் கயிறுகளாயின.
