कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
आराधयिततवान् शर्व बहून् वर्षगणांस्तदा । दुर्योधन कहता हैं--तदनन्तर परशुरामने बहुत वर्षोतक तपस्या
ārādhayitavān śarvaṁ bahūn varṣa-gaṇāṁs tadā |
துரியோதனன் கூறினான்—“அப்போது அவன் பல ஆண்டுகள் சர்வன் (சிவன்) வழிபாட்டில் ஈடுபட்டான்.” தவம், இந்திரிய அடக்கம், மனக் கட்டுப்பாடு, பூஜை, காணிக்கை-அர்ப்பணம், ஹோமம், மந்திர ஜபம் ஆகிய சாதனைகளால் பகவான் சிவனை மகிழ்வித்தான்—நீண்டகால ஒழுக்கமும் பக்தியும் கொண்டு.
