अध्याय २६ — शल्यस्य सारथ्य-नियोजनं, कर्णस्य प्रस्थानं, उत्पातदर्शनं च
Chapter 26: Śalya appointed as charioteer; Karṇa’s departure; portents
विरराज तदा पार्थों विधूमो5ग्निरिव ज्वलन्,उस समय समरांगणमें उन बहुसंख्यक संशप्तकगणोंको परास्त करके विजयी कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन धूमरहित प्रज्वलित अग्निके समान शोभा पा रहे थे
sañjaya uvāca | virarāja tadā pārtho vidhūmo 'gnir iva jvalan |
அப்போது போர்க்களத்தில் அந்தப் பெருந்தொகையான ஸம்ஸப்தகர்களை வென்று வெற்றியடைந்த குந்திபுத்திரன் பார்த்தன் (அர்ஜுனன்) புகையற்ற தீ போல ஜ்வலித்து ஒளிர்ந்தான்।
