कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
तथा तु संचिन्तयतां तान् क्लेशान् द्यूतकारितान् | दुःखेन क्षणदा राजन् जगामाब्दशतोपमा
tathā tu sañcintayatāṃ tān kleśān dyūtakāritān | duḥkhena kṣaṇadā rājan jagāmābdaśatopamā ||
அரசே! சூதாட்டத்தால் ஏற்பட்ட அந்தத் துன்பங்களை நினைத்துக்கொண்டே இருந்ததால், அவர்களுடைய அந்த இரவு துயரத்தோடு கழிந்தது; அது நூறு ஆண்டுகள் போல நீண்டதாகத் தோன்றியது।
