भीष्मभीमसमागमः — Bhīṣma–Bhīma Strategic Engagement and Counsel to the King
युद्धाभिकामान् शूरांश्ष पश्य माधव दंशितान् | त्रिगर्तराजं सहितं भ्रातृभि: पश्य केशव
yuddhābhikāmān śūrān paśya mādhava daṃśitān | trigartarājaṃ sahitaṃ bhrātṛbhiḥ paśya keśava ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—“மாதவா! போர்க்காமத்துடன் கவசம் அணிந்து நிற்கும் இந்த வீரர்களைப் பார். கேசவா! சகோதரர்களுடன் நிற்கும் திரிகர்த்த அரசனையும் பார்.”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the ethical gravity of war by highlighting deliberate preparedness: warriors come ‘eager for battle’ and ‘fully armed,’ reminding the listener that conflict is a chosen, organized act tied to kṣatriya identity and responsibility, not a casual impulse.
Sañjaya, narrating the battlefield scene, directs Kṛṣṇa’s attention to a contingent of armed warriors—specifically the king of the Trigartas and his brothers—standing ready to fight, as part of the larger mustering of forces in the Bhīṣma Parva.
