अपारमिव गर्जन्तं सागरप्रतिमं महत् । ध्वज और आभूषणोंसे भरी हुई यह सेना रत्नजटित पताकाओंसे व्याप्त है। दौड़ते हुए घोड़ोंसे जो इस सेनाका चंचल होना है
apāram iva garjantaṃ sāgara-pratimaṃ mahat |
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—அந்த சேனை எல்லையற்றதுபோல் முழங்கியது; மாபெரும் கடலைப் போன்றே விரிந்தும் வலிமையுடனும் தோன்றியது. கொடிகளும் ஆபரணங்களும் நிறைந்ததும், ரத்தினம் பதித்த பதாகைகளால் பரவியதும் ஆன அந்தப் படை, அசையும் கடலெனக் காட்சியளித்தது. பாய்ந்து செல்லும் குதிரைகளின் அலைபோன்ற சஞ்சலம், காற்றின் வேகத்தால் நடுங்கும் கடலின் அதிர்வைப் போல இருந்தது. பார்ப்பதற்கு அந்தக் கடல்சமமான மாபெரும் சேனை அளவிட முடியாததாகத் தோன்றியது; அதன் இடியொலி போன்ற முழக்கம் இடைவிடாது தொடர்ந்தது।
