चण्डवातो यथा मेघ: सविद्युत्स्तनयित्नुमान् । दिश: सम्प्लावयन् सर्वा: शरवर्ष: समनन््तत:ः
caṇḍavāto yathā meghaḥ savidyut-stanayitnumān | diśaḥ samplāvayan sarvāḥ śaravarṣaḥ samanantataḥ ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—மின்னலுடன் மிளிர்ந்து இடியுடன் முழங்கும் மேகத்தைப் புயல் காற்று எவ்வாறு தள்ளிச் செலுத்துமோ, அவ்வாறே முடிவற்ற அம்புமழை எல்லாத் திசைகளையும் வெள்ளமென மூழ்கடித்துக் குமுறியது; போரின் அந்தப் பெரும்புயல் எந்தத் திசையையும் விடவில்லை।
