Adhyāya 74 (Book 6, Bhīṣma-parva): Bhīma–Duryodhana re-engagement and afternoon escalation
समुत्पतन्ति वित्रस्ता रथेभ्यो रथिनस्तथा । सादिनश्चाश्वपृछठे भ्यो भूमी चापि पदातय:
samutpatanti vitrastā rathebhyo rathinas tathā | sādinaś cāśvapṛṣṭhebhyo bhūmīṃ cāpi padātayaḥ ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—அவர்கள் அத்தனை அச்சமடைந்தனர்; ரதவீரர்கள் ரதங்களிலிருந்து துள்ளி விழுந்தனர்; குதிரைவீரர்கள் குதிரைகளின் முதுகிலிருந்து கீழே சாய்ந்தனர்; காலாட்களும் நிலத்தில் விழுந்து புரண்டனர்।
