ननाद बलवतन्नादं भगदत्त: प्रतापवान् | उन सब महारथियोंको भयभीत और भीमसेनको मूर्च्छित हुआ देख प्रतापी भगदत्तने बड़े जोरसे सिंहनाद किया ।। ५३ है ।। ततो घटोत्कचो राजन प्रेक्ष्य भीम॑ तथागतम्
nanāda balavattan nādaṃ bhagadattaḥ pratāpavān | tato ghaṭotkaco rājan prekṣya bhīmaṃ tathāgatam ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—வீரத்தால் விளங்கிய பகதத்தன், அந்த மகாரதர்கள் அச்சமடைந்ததையும் பீமசேனன் மயக்கமடைந்ததையும் கண்டு, வலிமையான சிங்கநாதம் செய்தான். பின்னர், அரசே, பீமனை அந்த நிலையில் கண்ட கடோற்கசன், தன் உறவினரின் அபாயத்தை உணர்ந்து போர்க்களத்தில் பதிலடி கொடுக்க முனைந்தான்।
