नोदयाश्वान् यतो भीष्मो विगाहैतद् बलार्णवम् | पातयिष्यामि दुर्धर्ष वृद्धं कुकपितामहम्
sañjaya uvāca | nodayāśvān yato bhīṣmo vigāhaitad balārṇavam | pātayiṣyāmi durdharṣaṃ vṛddhaṃ kuru-pitāmaham ||
அர்ஜுனன் கூறினான்— “பகவானே! குதிரைகளை ஓட்டிச் சென்று, பீஷ்மர் நிற்கும் இடத்திற்கே என்னை அழைத்துச் செல்லுங்கள். இந்தப் படையெனும் கடலில் புகுங்கள். இன்று நான் குருகுலத்தின் முதிய, அசைக்க முடியாத பிதாமகர் பீஷ்மரைத் தேரிலிருந்து கீழே வீழ்த்துவேன்.”
