भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
एवमुक्ते तु भीष्मेण पुत्रास्तव जनेश्वर । दध्मु: शड्खान् मुदा युक्ता भेरी: संजध्निरे भूशम्,जनेश्वर! भीष्मके ऐसा कहनेपर आपके पुत्र आनन्दमग्न होकर जोर-जोरसे शंख बजाने और डंका पीटने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | evam ukte tu bhīṣmeṇa putrās tava janeśvara | dadhmuḥ śaṅkhān mudā yuktā bherīḥ sañjaghnire bhūśam ||
மனிதர்களின் தலைவனே! பீஷ்மர் இவ்வாறு கூறியதும், உமது புதல்வர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியால் நிறைந்து, சங்கு ஊதினர்; பேரி (போர்முரசு) முழக்கத்தைப் பெரிதும் எழுப்பினர்.
