विन्दानुविन्दावावन्त्यौ काम्बोजाश्व शकैः सह । पुच्छमासन् महाराज शूरसेनाश्व सर्वश:,अपने सहोदर भाइयों और अनुचरोंके साथ राजा दुर्योधन पृष्ठभागमें स्थित हुआ। महाराज! अवन्तिदेशके राजकुमार विन्द और अनुविन्द तथा कम्बोज, शक एवं शूरसेनदेशके योद्धा उस महाव्यूहके पुच्छ भागमें खड़े हुए
sañjaya uvāca | vindānuvindāv āvantyau kāmbojāś ca śakaiḥ saha | puccham āsan mahārāja śūrasenāś ca sarvaśaḥ ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—மகாராஜா! அவந்தியின் விந்தன், அனுவிந்தன், அவர்களுடன் காம்போஜரும் சகர்களும், மேலும் முழுப் பலத்துடன் சூரசேன வீரரும் அந்த மாபெரும் வியூகத்தின் பின்புறம்—வால் பகுதி—நின்றனர்।
