Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
शितैरवाकिरद् बाणै: कलिड्डानां वरूथिनीम् । कालिड्रस्तु महेष्वास: पुत्रश्नास्य महारथ:
śitair avākirad bāṇaiḥ kaliḍḍānāṃ varūthinīm | kāliḍras tu maheṣvāsaḥ putraśnāsya mahārathaḥ ||
அவன் கூர்மையான அம்புகளைப் பொழிந்து கலிங்கர்களின் படைவரிசையை மூடினான்; ஆனால் புத்திரஷ்ணாவின் மகனும், மகாதனுர்தரனும், மகாரதனுமான கலிங்க வீரன் அந்தத் தாக்குதலை எதிர்கொள்ள அசையாது நின்றான்।
