उस समय मैंने वहाँ धृष्टद्युम्नका अद्भुत पराक्रम देखा। वह वीर समरांगणमें अकेला ही पर्वतके समान अविचल भावसे खड़ा रहा
tadā mayā tatra dhṛṣṭadyumnasya adbhutaṁ parākramaṁ dṛṣṭam | sa vīraḥ samarāṅgaṇe ekākī eva parvata-samo ’vicala-bhāvena tiṣṭhat sma |
அந்த வேளையில் அங்கே த்ருஷ்டத்யும்னனின் அதிசயப் பராக்கிரமத்தை நான் கண்டேன். அந்த வீரன் போர்க்களத்தில் தனித்தனியாகவே மலைபோல் அசையாமல், உறுதியான மனத்துடன் நின்றான்.
