ततः क्रोधवशं प्राप्त: पिता देवव्रतस्तव । ध्वजमुन्मथितं दृष्टवा तां च सेनां निवारिताम्,तब आपके पिता देवव्रत भीष्म अपने ध्वजको टूटकर गिरा हुआ और सेनाको निवारित की हुई देखकर क्रोधके अधीन हो गये
tataḥ krodhavaśaṁ prāptaḥ pitā devavratas tava | dhvajam unmathitaṁ dṛṣṭvā tāṁ ca senāṁ nivāritām |
அப்போது உன் தந்தை தேவவ்ரதன் (பீஷ்மர்), தன் கொடி வீழ்ந்ததையும் தன் சேனை தடுக்கப்பட்டதையும் கண்டு, கோபத்தின் வசப்பட்டார்।
