Physical confrontation is portrayed as the outcome of an inner and mutual imbalance (viṣamī-bhāva). When minds and relations become discordant, embodied beings inevitably come into bodily opposition; without such inner disharmony, the verse implies, the collision would not arise.
Sañjaya is describing the dynamics by which opponents come to physical engagement: once mutual hostility or imbalance takes hold between parties, they meet and clash through their bodies. It frames the impending or ongoing conflict as rooted in a prior shift of disposition.
