करिष्यामि हि ते काम॑ भागिनेय यथेप्सितम् । ब्रवीम्यत: क्लीबवत् त्वां युद्धादन्यत् किमिच्छसि
kariṣyāmi hi te kāmaṁ bhāgineya yathepsitam | bravīmy ataḥ klībavat tvāṁ yuddhād anyat kim icchasi ||
சல்யன் கூறினான்—மருமகனே (பகினேயா), நீ விரும்பியபடியே உன் ஆசையை நான் நிறைவேற்றுவேன். ஆயினும் நான் உன்னிடம் கோழையிடம் பேசுவது போலக் கேட்கிறேன்—போரில் உதவியைத் தவிர இன்னும் என்ன வேண்டும்? சொல்; உன் விருப்பம் நிறைவேறும்.
