ततः पदं तत् परिमार्गितव्यं यस्मिन् गता न निवर्तन्ति भूय: । तमेव चाद्य॑ पुरुषं प्रपद्ये यतः प्रवृत्ति: प्रसृता पुराणी,उसके पश्चात् उस परम पदरूप परमेश्वरको भली-भाँति खोजना चाहिये, जिसमें गये हुए पुरुष फिर लौटकर संसारमें नहीं आते और जिस परमेश्वरसे इस पुरातन संसारवृक्षकी प्रवृत्ति विस्तारको प्राप्त हुई है, उसी आदिपुरुष नारायणके मैं शरण हूँ, इस प्रकार दृढ़ निश्चय करके उस परमेश्वरका मनन और निदिध्यासन करना चाहिये*
tataḥ padaṃ tat parimārgitavyaṃ yasmin gatā na nivartanti bhūyaḥ | tameva cādyaṃ puruṣaṃ prapadye yataḥ pravṛttiḥ prasṛtā purāṇī ||
அதன்பின், சென்றவர்கள் மீண்டும் உலக வாழ்விற்கு திரும்பாத அந்த பரம நிலையைக் கவனமுடன் தேட வேண்டும். இந்தப் பழமையான இயக்கம்—உலகின் விரிவு—எவரிடமிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டதோ, அந்த ஆதிப் புருஷனிடமே நான் சரணடைகிறேன்।
