निकृन्तन्तमनीकानि शरदंष्टं मनस्विनम्‌ । चापव्यात्ताननं घोरमसिजिह्ठलं दुरासदम्‌

Transliteration

nikṛntantam anīkāni śarad-aṃṣṭraṃ manasvinam | cāpa-vyāttānanaṃ ghoraṃ asi-jihvalaṃ durāsadam ||

Translation

த்ருதராஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—நான் அவனைப் படை அமைப்புகளை வெட்டித் தள்ளுவதைக் கண்டேன்—இலையுதிர்காலப் பற்களுடன் கூடிய கொடுஞ்சிற்றுயிர் போல. அவன் மன உறுதி கொண்டவன், தீர்மானம் உடையவன்; அச்சமூட்டும் தோற்றம்—வில் இழுத்து வாய்பிளந்து நிற்பதுபோல், அவன் வாள் தீநாக்கைப் போல மின்னியது; அவனை அணுகுதல் மிகக் கடினம்.
