ततो द्रोणाय निहतं भीष्ममाचष्ट कौरव: । द्रोणस्तत्राप्रियं श्रुत्वा मुमोह भरतर्षभ
tato droṇāya nihataṃ bhīṣmam ācāṣṭa kauravaḥ | droṇas tatrāpriyaṃ śrutvā mumoha bharatarṣabha ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—அப்போது ஒரு கௌரவன் துரோணாசாரியரிடம் பீஷ்மர் கொல்லப்பட்டார் என்று அறிவித்தான். பரதசிரேஷ்டா! அந்தத் துயர்செய்தியைக் கேட்டவுடன் துரோணர் மயங்கி விழுந்தார்.
