संग्रामे भरतश्रेष्ठ देवानां दानवैरिव । भरतभूषण! उनका वह भयंकर युद्ध देवासुरसंग्रामके समान रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाला था
saṅgrāme bharataśreṣṭha devānāṃ dānavair iva | bharatabhūṣaṇa! unakā vaha bhayaṅkara yuddha devāsura-saṅgrāma-ke samāna roṅgaṭe khaḍe kara dene-vālā thā |
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—ஓ பரதசிரேஷ்டா, ஓ பரதகுலப் பூஷணா! அவர்களின் அந்த பயங்கரப் போர் தேவர்கள்-அசுரர்கள் போரிடும் யுத்தத்தைப் போலவே இருந்தது; அதைக் கண்டால் உடலெங்கும் ரோமங்கள் சிலிர்க்கும் அளவுக்கு அச்சமூட்டியது.
