छन््दतो मृत्युरित्येवं तस्य चास्तु वरस्तथा । धारयिष्ये ततः प्राणानुत्सगें नियते सति
chandato mṛtyur ity evaṃ tasya cāstu varas tathā | dhārayiṣye tataḥ prāṇān utsarge niyate sati ||
“ஆகவே ‘மரணம் என் விருப்பத்தின்படியே வரட்டும்’—அந்த வரம் அப்படியே நிலைபெறட்டும். எனவே உயிரை விட வேண்டிய நியமிக்கப்பட்ட நேரம் வரும் வரை நான் உயிர்மூச்சுகளைத் தாங்கிக் கொள்வேன்.”
