भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed
तद् युद्धमासीत् सुमहत् तयोस्तत्र समागमे । यदाभ्यधावद् गाड़ेयं शिखण्डी शत्रुकर्शन:
tad yuddham āsīt sumahat tayos tatra samāgame | yadābhyadhāvad gāṅgeyaṃ śikhaṇḍī śatrukarśanaḥ ||
அப்போது இரு படைகளும் நேருக்கு நேர் மோதிய அந்தச் சந்திப்பிலேயே பெரும் போர் வெடித்தது; அதே கணத்தில் பகைவரை நசைக்கும் சிகண்டி கங்கையின் புதல்வன் பீஷ்மரை நோக்கி நேராகப் பாய்ந்தான்।
