भीष्मस्य अप्रतिमपराक्रमः — शिखण्डिपुरस्कृतः प्रहारः
Bhīṣma’s unmatched momentum and the assault with Śikhaṇḍin in the lead
यथाशक्ति यथोत्साहं तन्मे निगदत: शृणु । इस प्रकार एकत्र हुए पाण्डव महारथियोंपर आपके पुत्रोंने भी जिस प्रकार अपनी शक्ति और उत्साहके अनुसार आक्रमण किया, वह सब बताता हूँ, सुनिये ।।

yathāśakti yathotsāhaṃ tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu |
citraseno mahārāja cekitānaṃ samabhyayāt |
தத்தம் வலிமைக்கும் உற்சாகத்திற்கும் ஏற்றவாறு, உன் மகன்கள் ஒன்றுகூடிய பாண்டவ மகாரதர்கள்மேல் எவ்வாறு தாக்கினர் என்பதை என்னிடமிருந்து கேள். மன்னா, சித்ரசேனன் சேகிதானனை நோக்கி முன்னேறினான்.
