तमहं न हनिष्यामि प्राणत्यागेडपि भारत । यासौ प्राड्निर्मिता धात्रा सैषा वै स्त्री शिखण्डिनी
tam ahaṃ na haniṣyāmi prāṇatyāge 'pi bhārata | yā sā prāg nirmītā dhātrā saiṣā vai strī śikhaṇḍinī ||
பாரதா! உயிர் துறக்க நேர்ந்தாலும் நான் அவனைத் தாக்கமாட்டேன்; படைத்தவன் முன்பு பெண்ணாக உருவாக்கியவள்—என் கணிப்பில் இன்றும் சிகண்டினியே.
