Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)

यद्यागच्छे: पुनरेवं कथंचिद्‌ बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते । दहेयं त्वां चक्षुषा दारुणेन संक़्रुद्ध इत्येतदवैहि शक्र

yady āgaccheḥ punar evaṁ kathaṁcid bṛhaspatiṁ paridātuṁ marutte | daheyaṁ tvāṁ cakṣuṣā dāruṇena saṅkruddha ity etad avaihi śakra ||

அவன் கூறியதாவது—“நீ மீண்டும் எவ்விதமாகினும் ப்ருஹஸ்பதியை மருத்தனிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்க வந்தால், நான் சினந்து என் கொடிய பார்வையால் உன்னை எரித்தழிப்பேன்.” சக்ரா, இதை நன்றாக அறிந்து கொள்.

Even gods must heed the moral and spiritual authority born of brahmacarya and tapas. When a disciplined ascetic sets a boundary in the name of dharma, violating it invites severe consequences; power must be tempered by respect for righteousness.
