कोटी: सहस््र॑ निष्काणां व्यासाय तु वसुंधराम् । इसके बाद युधिष्ठिरने सब ब्राह्मणोंको विधिपूर्वक एक हजार करोड़ (एक खर्व) स्वर्णमुद्राएँ दक्षिणामें देकर व्यासजीको सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी दान कर दी
koṭiḥ sahasra-niṣkāṇāṃ vyāsāya tu vasuṃdharām |
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்— பின்னர் தர்மராஜன் யுதிஷ்டிரன் எல்லா பிராமணர்களையும் விதிப்படி போற்றி, தட்சிணையாக ஆயிரம் கோடி பொன் நாணயங்களை அளித்து, உச்சமான துறவுணர்வும் பக்தியும் கொண்டு வியாசருக்கு முழு பூமியையும் தானமாக வழங்கினான்।
