अश्वमेधीयस्य हयस्य दक्षिणापश्चिमगमनम् — The Sacrificial Horse’s Southern and Western Circuit
मैवं भू: शाम्यतां वैरं मा ते भूद् बुद्धिरीदृशी । गच्छेथथास्त्वं परां चैत्रीमश्वमेधे नूपस्य न:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
maivaṁ bhūḥ śāmyatāṁ vairaṁ mā te bhūd buddhir īdṛśī |
gacchethathās tvaṁ parāṁ caitrīm aśvamedhe nūpasya naḥ ||
இவ்வாறு செய்யாதே. பகைமை அடங்கட்டும்; இனி எப்போதும் எங்கள்மேல் போர் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற இத்தகைய எண்ணம் உனக்குள் எழாதிருக்கட்டும். வரவிருக்கும் சைத்ரப் பௌர்ணமியில் மகாராஜ யுதிஷ்டிரரின் அசுவமேத யாகம் நடைபெறும்; நீ நிச்சயம் வர வேண்டும்.
