Babhruvāhana’s Lament and Appeal for Expiation (प्रायश्चित्त-याचना)
किमिदं लक्ष्यते सर्व शोकविस्मयहर्षवत् । रणाजिरममित्रघ्न यदि जानासि शंस मे
kim idaṃ lakṣyate sarvaṃ śoka-vismaya-harṣavat | raṇājiram amitraghna yadi jānāsi śaṃsa me ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்— “எதிரிகளை அழிக்கும் வீர மகனே! இந்த முழுப் போர்க்களம் ஏன் ஒரே நேரத்தில் துயரம், வியப்பு, மகிழ்ச்சி ஆகியவற்றால் நிறைந்ததுபோல் தோன்றுகிறது? நீ அறிந்திருந்தால் எனக்குச் சொல்।”
