Subhadrā’s Petition to Kṛṣṇa for the Revival of Parīkṣit (अभिमन्युज-प्राणरक्षा-प्रार्थना)
यदुप्रवीर यो<यं ते स्वस्नीयस्यात्मज: प्रभो । अश्वत्थाम्ना हतो जातस्तमुज्जीवय केशव
yadupravīra yo 'yaṃ te svasnīyasya ātmajaḥ prabho | aśvatthāmnā hataḥ jātas tam ujjīvaya keśava ||
வைசம்பாயனன் கூறினான்—யது வீரரே, பிரபுவே! இவன் உமது சகோதரி மகனின் மகன்; அஸ்வத்தாமனின் ஆயுதத்தால் கொல்லப்பட்ட நிலையிலேயே பிறந்தான். கேசவா, அவனை உயிர்ப்பி.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after war’s devastation, dharma expresses itself as protection of the innocent and the continuity of rightful lineage; the appeal to Keśava highlights reliance on divine power to heal what human violence has shattered.
The narrator reports an urgent plea to Kṛṣṇa: a child related through a nephew has been born dead due to Aśvatthāman’s weapon, and Kṛṣṇa is asked to revive the child.
