अस्यास्तु वचन श्रुत्वा सर्वास्ता: कुरुयोषित:,“इसकी बात सुनकर कुरुकुलकी सारी स्त्रियाँ इसे दोनों हाथोंसे पकड़कर अत्यन्त आर्त-सी होकर करुण विलाप करने लगीं
asyāstu vacanaṁ śrutvā sarvāstāḥ kuru-yoṣitaḥ
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—அவளுடைய சொற்களை கேட்டதும் குருவம்சத்தின் பெண்கள் அனைவரும் துயரால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் அவளை இரு கைகளாலும் பற்றிக் கொண்டு, மிகுந்த வேதனையுடன் கருணையாகப் புலம்பினர்.
