Uttaṅka’s Petition for Madayantī’s Divine Earrings (Maṇikuṇḍala) — Agreement, Proof, and Vigilance
ततः प्रोवाच पत्नीं स न ते सम्यगिदं कृतम् । शप्त: स पार्थिवो नून॑ ब्राह्मणं तं वधिष्यति
tataḥ provāca patnīṃ sa na te samyag idaṃ kṛtam | śaptaḥ sa pārthivo nūnaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ taṃ vadhiṣyati ||
அப்போது அவர் மனைவியிடம் கூறினார்: “தேவி! நீ செய்தது சரியல்ல. அந்த அரசன் சாபத்தால் ஆட்பட்டவன்; ஆகவே அவன் அந்தப் பிராமணனை நிச்சயமாகக் கொன்றுவிடுவான்.”
