धर्मस्य सेतुं बध्नामि चलिते चलिते युगे । तास्ता योनी: प्रविश्याहं प्रजानां हितकाम्यया
dharmasya setuṁ badhnāmi calite calite yuge | tāstā yonīḥ praviśyāhaṁ prajānāṁ hitakāmyayā ||
யுகம் யுகமாக காலம் குலைந்து மாற்றம் நிகழும் போதெல்லாம், நான் தர்மத்தின் பாலத்தை உறுதியாகக் கட்டுகிறேன். உயிர்களின் நலனைக் கருதி, நான் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பல பிறவிகளிலும் வடிவங்களிலும் புகுந்து, தர்மத்தின் மரியாதையை மீண்டும் நிறுவுகிறேன்; அதனால் உயிர்கள் அதர்மத்தின் வழுக்கலில் சிதறிப் போகாமல் காக்கப்படுகின்றன।
