रजोगुणा वो बहुधानुकीर्तिता यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरो5पि यो वेद गुणानिमान्‌ सदा स राजसै: सर्वगुणैरविमुच्यते

Transliteration

rajoguṇā vo bahudhānukīrtitā yathāvad uktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naro 'pi yo veda guṇān imān sadā sa rājasaiḥ sarvaguṇair avimucyate, munivara ||

Translation

வாயுதேவன் கூறினான்—முனிவரே! ரஜோகுணத்தால் உண்டாகும் பலவகை குணங்களையும், அவற்றைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும் நடத்தையையும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சரியாகப் பல முறைகளில் விளக்கியேன். இக்குணங்களைத் தெளிவாக அறிந்து எப்போதும் நினைவில் வைத்திருப்பவன், ராஜஸப் பண்புகளின் முழு வலையிலும் சிக்கான்; அவற்றின் கட்டுப்படுத்தும் சக்தியிலிருந்து விடுதலையாய் இருப்பான்.
