धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

अहूं वन॑ गमिष्यामि भवानू्‌ राज्यं प्रशासतु । न मामयशसा दग्धं भूयस्त्वं दग्धुमहसि,नृपश्रेष्ठी महाराज! युयुत्सु आपके औरस पुत्र हैं; ये ही राजा हों अथवा और किसीको जिसे आप उचित समझते हों, राजा बना दें या स्वयं ही इस राज्यका शासन करें। मैं ही वनको चला जाऊँगा। पिताजी! मैं पहलेसे ही अपयशकी आगमें जल चुका हूँ, अब पुनः आप भी मुझे न जलाइये

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ahaṃ vanaṃ gamiṣyāmi bhavān rājyam praśāsatu | na mām ayaśasā dagdhaṃ bhūyas tvaṃ dagdhum arhasi, nṛpaśreṣṭha mahārāja |

யுதிஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்— நான் வனத்திற்குச் செல்வேன்; நீங்கள் அரசை ஆளுங்கள். அவப்பெயரின் தீயால் நான் ஏற்கெனவே சுடப்பட்டவன்—ஓ நৃপசத்தமா, மீண்டும் என்னைச் சுடாதீர்கள்.
