Adhyāya 16 — Daiva, Kṣatriya-dharma, and Public Reassurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
प्रेक्षतामेव वो भीम वेपन्तीं कदलीमिव । सत्रीधर्मिणीमरिष्टाड़ीं तथा द्यूतपराजिताम्
prekṣatām eva vo bhīma vepantīṁ kadalīm iva | satrīdharmiṇīm ariṣṭāḍīṁ tathā dyūta-parājitām ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—“ஓ பீமா! உங்கள் கண்முன்னே அவள் வாழைமரம் போல நடுங்கினாள்—பதிவிரதைத் தர்மத்தில் உறுதியாய் இருந்தும், துரதிர்ஷ்டத்தால் தாக்கப்பட்டு, சூதாட்டத் தோல்வியால் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டவள்.”
