Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Public Request for Consent to Enter the Forest (अनुज्ञा-प्रार्थना)
शतदेये दशशतं सहस्ने चायुतं तथा । दीयते वचनाद् राज्ञ: कुन्तीपुत्रस्य धीमत:,बुद्धिमान कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिरके आदेशसे जहाँ सौ देना था, वहाँ हजार दिया गया और हजारकी जगह दस हजार बाँटा गया है
śatadeye daśaśataṃ sahasne cāyutaṃ tathā | dīyate vacanād rājñaḥ kuntīputrasya dhīmataḥ ||
அறிவுடைய குந்தீபுத்திரன் அரசன் யுதிஷ்டிரரின் ஆணையால்—எங்கே நூறு அளிக்க வேண்டுமோ அங்கே ஆயிரம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது; எங்கே ஆயிரம் வேண்டுமோ அங்கே பத்தாயிரம் தானமாக வழங்கப்பட்டது.
