The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
अपि चोदाहरन्तीमं धर्मशास्त्रविदो जना: । अश्वानां श्यामकर्णानां सहस्रेण स मुच्यते
api codāharantīmaṁ dharmaśāstravido janāḥ | aśvānāṁ śyāmakarṇānāṁ sahasreṇa sa mucyate ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— மேலும், தர்மசாஸ்திரங்களில் தேர்ந்தோர் இந்த எடுத்துக்காட்டையும் கூறுகின்றனர்: உறுதியான விரதத்தை மீறிய பாவத்தில் அகப்பட்டவன், கருமை நிறக் காதுகள் உடைய குதிரைகள் ஆயிரம் தானமாக அளித்தால் அந்தக் குற்றத்திலிருந்து விடுபடுவான்.
