The Duty to Fulfill Promised Gifts
न हर्तव्यं विप्रधन क्षन्तव्यं तेषु नित्यश: । बालाश्व नावमन्तव्या दरिद्रा: कृपणा अपि
na hartavyaṃ vipradhanaṃ kṣantavyaṃ teṣu nityaśaḥ | bālāś ca nāvamantavyā daridrāḥ kṛpaṇā api ||
பிராமணரின் செல்வத்தை ஒருபோதும் அபகரிக்கக் கூடாது. அவர்கள் குற்றம் செய்தாலும் அவர்களிடம் எப்போதும் மன்னிப்புணர்வே கொள்ள வேண்டும். அவர்கள் குழந்தையாயினும், ஏழையாயினும், துன்புறுவோராயினும்—அவர்களை இகழக் கூடாது.
