Origin and Supremacy of Gold as Ritual Fee
गुणवचनसमुच्चयैकदेशो नृवर मयैष गवां प्रकीर्तितस्ते । न च परमिह दानमस्ति गोभ्यो भवति न चापि परायणं तथान्यत्
guṇavacanasamuccayaikadeśo nṛvara mayaiva eṣa gavāṁ prakīrtitas te | na ca param iha dānam asti gobhyo bhavati na cāpi parāyaṇaṁ tathā anyat ||
வசிஷ்டர் கூறினார்— அரசர்களில் சிறந்தவனே! பசுக்களின் புகழுரைகளின் தொகுப்பில் இருந்து நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னது ஒரு சிறு பகுதியே—ஒரு சுட்டிக்காட்டே. இவ்வுலகில் கோதானத்தைவிட உயர்ந்த தானம் இல்லை; அவற்றுக்கு ஒப்பான அடைக்கலமும் வேறில்லை.
