पितामह उवाच
Moral character determines spiritual destiny: treachery, ingratitude, deceit, hostility to dharma, and grave violence such as brahma-hatyā block access to exalted realms like Goloka, which are reserved for the meritorious.
In Bhīṣma’s instruction discourse (Anuśāsana Parva), he lists disqualifying vices and declares that a person burdened with such faults cannot attain or even envision Goloka, described as the abode of the virtuous.
