गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः
Description of the ‘World of Cows’ and the Stated Fruits of Cow-Gift
मातर: सर्वभूतानां गाव: सर्वसुखप्रदा: । वृद्धिमाकाडुक्षता नित्यं गाव: कार्या: प्रदक्षिणा:
mātaraḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ gāvaḥ sarvasukhapradāḥ | vṛddhim ākāṅkṣatā nityaṁ gāvaḥ kāryāḥ pradakṣiṇāḥ ||
பசுக்கள் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் தாய்கள் என அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன; அவை அனைத்துக்கும் நலனையும் சுகத்தையும் அளிப்பவை. ஆகவே வளர்ச்சியும் உயர்வும் விரும்புபவன் தினமும் பசுக்களை வலம் வர வேண்டும் (பிரதட்சிணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்).
