गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

यो ब्रूयाच्चापि शिष्याय धर्म्या ब्राह्मीं सरस्वतीम् । पृथिवीगोप्रदानाभ्यां तुल्यं स फलमश्लुते
yo brūyāc cāpi śiṣyāya dharmyāṁ brāhmīṁ sarasvatīm | pṛthivī-gopradānābhyāṁ tulyaṁ sa phalam aśnute ||
ஒரு பிராமணன் தன் சீடனுக்கு தர்மத்திற்கேற்ற பிராஹ்மீ சரஸ்வதி—வேதவாக்கை—உபதேசித்தால், அவன் நிலதானமும் கோதானமும் செய்ததற்குச் சமமான பலனை அடைகிறான்.
