Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
सर्वसत्रैश्न यजते यस्तिलैर्यजते पितृन् | न चाकामेन दातव्यं तिलश्राद्धं कदाचन
bhīṣma uvāca | sarvasatraiś ca yajate yas tilair yajate pitṝn | na cākāmena dātavyaṃ tilaśrāddhaṃ kadācana ||
எள்ளால் பித்ருக்களை வழிபடுகிறவன், எல்லா யாகங்களையும் செய்தவனுக்கு ஒப்பான். ஆனால் எள்-சிராத்தத்தை ஆசையில்லாமல் அல்லது அலட்சியமாக ஒருபோதும் அளிக்கக் கூடாது; சங்கல்பமும் பக்தியும் கொண்டு செய்ய வேண்டும்.
