Bhūmi-dānasya Māhātmya
The Pre-eminence of Land-Gift
यत् पिबन्ति जल तत्र स्नायन्ते विश्रमन्ति च । तडागे यस्य तत् सर्व प्रेत्यानन्त्याय कल्पते
yat pibanti jala tatra snāyante viśramanti ca | taḍāge yasya tat sarva pretyānantyāya kalpate ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—யாருடைய குளத்தில் மக்கள் நீர் அருந்தி, அங்கேயே நீராடி, ஓய்வெடுக்கிறார்களோ, அந்தப் புண்ணியம் அனைத்தும் அந்தக் குளத்தின் உரிமையாளருக்கே சேரும்; மரணத்திற்குப் பின் அது அழியாத நலனுக்குக் காரணமாகும்.
