पितामहस्यानवरो वीरशायी भवेन्नर: । नाधथिकं विद्यते यस्मादित्याहु: परमर्षय:

Transliteration

pitāmahasyānavaro vīraśāyī bhavennaraḥ | nādhikaṁ vidyate yasmād ityāhuḥ paramarṣayaḥ ||

Translation

வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்— போர்க்களத்தில் வீரசயனத்தில் படுப்பவன் (அதாவது போரில் வீரமரணம் அடைவவன்) பிதாமகன் பிரம்மாவுக்கு ஒப்பானவன் ஆகிறான். ஏனெனில் அவரைவிட உயர்ந்தது எதுவுமில்லை—என்று பரமரிஷிகள் உரைக்கின்றனர்.
