Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort
अभ्युत्थानेन दैवस्य समारब्धेन कर्मणा । विधिना कर्मणा चैव स्वर्गमार्गमवाप्लुयात्,मनुष्य दैवके उत्थानसे आरम्भ किये हुए पुरुषार्थसे उत्तम विधि और शास्त्रोक्त सत्कर्मसे ही स्वर्गलोकका मार्ग पा सकता है
abhyutthānena daivasya samārabdhena karmaṇā | vidhinā karmaṇā caiva svargamārgam avāpnuyāt ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—திடமான எழுச்சியுடன் எழுந்து, விதிக்கேற்றவாறு செயலைத் தொடங்கி, முறையும் சாஸ்திர விதிகளும் கூறும் நற்கருமங்களைச் செய்தாலே மனிதன் சொர்க்கத்திற்குச் செல்லும் பாதையை அடைகிறான்.
