Daiva–Puruṣakāra Inquiry: Fate and Human Effort
अश्व॒त्थामा च रामश्न मुनिपुत्रौ धनुर्थरौ । न गच्छत: स्वर्गलोक॑ सुकृतेनेह कर्मणा
aśvatthāmā ca rāmaś ca muniputrau dhanurdharau | na gacchataḥ svargalokaṃ sukṛtenehakarmaṇā ||
அதேபோல் அச்வத்தாமாவும் ராமனும் (பரசுராமன்)—இருவரும் முனிவரின் புதல்வர்கள், வில்லாற்றல் மிக்க வீரர்கள். இவ்வுலகில் புண்ணியச் செயல்கள் செய்திருந்தாலும், அந்தச் செயல்களின் வலிமையாலேயே அவர்கள் சொர்க்கலோகத்தை அடையவில்லை.
